Group Programs for Children

Social Skills
Age Group 4 to 6 year olds

The primary focus of this group is to develop a child's ability to interact and communicate with his/her peers. By practicing simple social exchange and learning to identify their own and others' emotions the children will be encouraged to have confidence in their social exchanges.

The main aims of this program are to increase confidence, self-esteen, emotional recognition, communication and language.

Jungle Tracks
Age Group 5 to 8 year olds

This is a program developed by STARTTS (www.startts.org). It uses stories to help children process past trauma such as domestic violence. It assists them in overcoming the disintegration and disempowerment of their experiences.

The main aims of this program are to improve emotional regulation, reduce fear and anxiety, and increase confidence and self-esteem.
